Venables Bell + Partners brought director Ze'ev Waismann and Electra Filmworks onto A Short History of America, a 60-second sprint through 250 years of American innovation made for the Harvester range extender on Scout Motors' new trucks.

The film threads archival footage, cinematic recreations, and mixed media into a single run down the open road, cutting across eras without losing the line. It plays less like a product spot than a short history reel, with the Scout arriving as the newest entry in a long American habit of building the machine that gets you there.
